Democrats View Democracy as an Obstacle to Overcome
Democrats Have Run the Country into the Ground and are Now Trying to Make it Impossible for You to Do Anything About It.
Clay Travis sums up Biden's record after one year:
There's lots of evidence that the spikes in inflation, murder and border crossings have all been deliberate. The Covid-2019 spike may not be deliberate as much as it is a result of incompetence.
But whether this has been a deliberate sabotage of the country or not is almost beside the point here. The alternative explanation is that Biden has run the country into the ground through sheer incompetence and his own mental unfitness for office.
"I don't get it," you wonder. "How could the Democrats not know this was going to backfire on them electorally? They're going to get crushed in the midterms!"
That's where you're wrong, bucko. You didn't think they would enact a disastrous first-year agenda without also having a way to escape the electoral consequences of it, did you?
Well, they've got a plan.
The Democrats are now preparing to get rid of the filibuster in the Senate and ram through "voting rights" legislation that will essentially make it impossible for you to ever vote them out of office:
That "action on voting rights" is the "Freedom to Vote Act," because in the wake of an election that had the highest voter turnout in American history, the obvious takeaway is that voter suppression is a massive and rampant problem in this country.
A summary:
The “Freedom to Vote Act” scam that Biden is pushing would weaken existing voter ID laws, regulate speech about elections, require states to let felons vote, allow partisan activists to harass and pressure citizens waiting in line to vote, prevent the firing of election officials who reveal themselves to be partisan hacks, facilitate lawsuits against honest officials seeking accurate elections, prevent elected state legislatures from drawing congressional districts as they see fit, require online registration that might be susceptible to foreign hackers, and prevent states from updating registration rolls to remove voters who have died or moved out of state.
It would also make universal mail-in voting permanent.
This is how the Democrats plan to get away with wrecking the country: they're going to make it so that the schemes they use to steal elections are the law of the land.
I say this all the time but it's so important to understanding why the Democrats are the way they are: the Democratic Party is not a political party. It is a nationwide, organized mafia-like crime syndicate that exists solely to enrich and reward its members and supporters, while maintaining a permanent grip on power.
Another way of understanding it is to view it as the modern version of the old 19th century "political machines" based off the spoils system. If you are unfamiliar with the idea, it is based off the idea that "to the victor goes the spoils."
In politics and government, a spoils system (also known as a patronage system) is a practice in which a political party, after winning an election, gives government jobs to its supporters, friends (cronyism), and relatives (nepotism) as a reward for working toward victory, and as an incentive to keep working for the party—as opposed to a merit system, where offices are awarded on the basis of some measure of merit, independent of political activity.
The term was used particularly in politics of the United States, where the federal government operated on a spoils system until the Pendleton Act was passed in 1883 due to a civil service reform movement. Thereafter the spoils system was largely replaced by nonpartisan merit at the federal level of the United States.
The Pendleton Act may have done away with the spoils system for a time, but the spoils system is alive and well today. Can you honestly say with a straight face that we have a merit-based system to award political offices and appointments? The fact that Anthony Fauci is the Health Czar of America while Dr. Robert Malone is banished from social media should be enough to disabuse you of that notion.
Every law the Democrats pass is either a financial scam or a power grab, invariably. The Democratic Party has zero interest in "political issues" or the "national interest."
The Democrats do not care about "voting rights"; they care about winning elections and lining their pockets. That's it.
Holding political power is lucrative--politicians can reward both themselves and their supporters and donors financially. (Power is also desirable in and of itself, obviously.)
Why are we seeing rampant inflation right now? Because of all the money printing, which amounted to a massive payday for the billionaire class. Plus, high gas prices push more people toward electric vehicles and "going green," which the Democratic Party and its donor network have a massive financial interest in.
Why are they allowing unprecedented levels of illegal immigration? Because illegal immigration equals cheap labor--plus they plan to allow illegals to vote one day.
It's all about money and power. The "Freedom to Vote Act" would help solidify Democrats' grip on power, pure and simple.
To the extent that the Democrats talk about "political issues," it's purely whip up support among their rabidly ideological voter base.
Certainly there are many wild-eyed ideologues in the Democratic Party, but if you really dig into any bill they propose be made into law, what you'll find is that it ultimately amounts to either a power grab, a money grab, or both. The bottom line is always money and power.
Fortunately, the Democrats are unlikely to succeed in passing the "Freedom to Vote Act," even if they nuke the filibuster. Manchin and Sinema seem unlikely to go along with the scheme and so it appears this bill will be dead on arrival in the Senate.
But this doesn't mean the Democrats will stop trying to "reform" the nation's election laws. Their goal is to make their grip on power permanent and irrevocable, and they will never cease in their pursuit of that goal.
